Corsicana — When Are We Going Home Ministry’s Riding High Horsemanship program will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Break N Free camp at 4719 NE CR 1040 in Rice. This is a free riding program for medically challenged, disabled and special needs children 0-21 and their immediate siblings. Lunch is included. The Hispanic Republican Club Of Navarro County will sponsor a Deferred Action Meeting from noon to 3 p.m. at Republican Headquarters, 111-B West Third Avenue, in downtown Corsicana. Garry Davis of Davis & Associates law office will be the guest speaker. The purpose of the meeting is help students obtain citizenship. Davis is an immigration attorney and will offer one-on-one consultations. Updates, tips, and other helpful information plus snacks and drinks will be available. A Benefit Chili Supper and Auction will be held for Jordan Dechaume, the fifth grade Blooming Grove student recently diagnosed with leukemia. It will be 5 p.m. at Silver City Volunteer Fire Department, with live music provided by the Steve Burleson Family. Adult meals are $10 and kids are $5.
Blooming Grove Ex-Students Association will hold a visitation at 9:30 a.m. at the Doc Garrison City Park. Catch up with old friends over coffee and cookies and reminisce about the old days. Dedication of the Blooming Grove Historical Museum at 201 Fordyce will take place at 10:30 a.m. There will be a barbecue sandwich lunch at the Blooming Grove High School cafeteria at 11:30 a.m. and the program will begin at 1:30 p.m. Classes honored in the program will be 1952, 1962, 1972, 1987 and all graduates prior to 1952.
