Fundraiser for Brandi Snowden will begin at 1 p.m. at the American Legion. Brandi was killed in a terrible accident in June at the age of 31, leaving behind two daughters 13 and 7. Friends are holding this fundraiser to help pay her funeral expenses. There will be a live band, a live auction, dart tournament, horse shoe tournament, shuffle board tournament, and a pool tournament. Also will be barbecue plates for sale. The Warehouse Living Arts Children’s Theater will hold an informational meeting at 6 p.m. for the community to answer any questions about “A Christmas Carol” and how you may help. All are welcome. The theatre is located at 119 West Sixth Ave., Corsicana. This play has parts for all ages.
The Emhouse Community Center will meet at 7 p.m. Come join us and keep this building open. Refreshments will be served.
Jury duty for Judge H.M. Daveport Jr’s County Court, scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, has been cancelled. Those called for service need not attend.

Healthy Woman is back at Navarro Regional Hospital's Cafe 22 for an evening with Dr. Rebecca Guinn, OB/GYN from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Dr. Guinn will be discussing methods of contraception and family planning, as well as other reasons for using contraception. Even if you think you have no need for a contraceptive, hormones in the form of birth control can help control mood swings, migraines, heavy and/or unpredictable periods and severe pain.
