The Navarro County Branch of the NAACP remembers Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with “A Day of Celebration” to include a rally at Bunert Park at 10 a.m. with guest speaker the Rev. Corsicana Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) will be at the Kerens Public Library from 1 to 4 p.m. each Wednesday until April 11. If you are a low income (usually under $42K) or elderly, and in need of tax filing assistance, take advantage of this free program. This year we are seeing clients with appointments first and then we’ll work with our walk-ins.
