Oak Valley Crime Watch invites all to attend its Crime Watch meeting held at 6:30 p.m. at the Community Center. Everyone is welcome. Everyone is asked to bring a dish. A guest speaker will attend. Please keep in mind our Crime Watch is non-profit and we run solely on donations. We look forward to seeing you all.
The Blooming Grove Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. in the museum at 201 S. Fordyce St. in Blooming Grove. The guest speaker will be World War II veteran Charlie Boyd who recently was treated to the Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. While there he was transported to many of the memorial sites. The Sunbeam Club will gather at the IHOP in Ennis at 11:30 a.m. for another day of food and fellowship. If you are an active or retired railroader, relative or friend of a railroader, or if you just love a train, you are invited to mark your calendar for this date and time to share with us.

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 22 will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. at the American Legion Post on North Beaton Street. All members are urged to attend.
The American Red Cross will be conducting a blood drive from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Corsicana’s First United Methodist Church, 320 North 15th Street. All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in.
