Corsicana — Business Olympics are back at Corsicana Derrick Days with arm wrestling, high heel race, pizza eating contest, and bed race. If your business is interested in competing, please email ddolympics14@live.com for information packets.

May 3

When Are We Going Home Ministry and Break N Free Camp presents the Riding High Horsemanship Program to be held at 4719 NE CR 1040 in Rice. Call for directions and to RSVP to (903) 422-6120 (to get an accurate count). This event is free and open to all medically challenged, special needs and disabled children and foster children and their immediate siblings up to the age of 21. Lunch will be provided, just bring lawn chairs, yourself and your family. A handicapped ramp is available, as well as side/front walkers, and a playground. The event will include riding, saddling, safety, feeding and care of horses, and a short devotion.

May 17

G.W. Jackson Heritage Rodeo will begin at 7 p.m. at the Navarro County Exposition Center. This pro rodeo still needs sponsorships. All funds raised will go toward construction of the G.W. Jackson Multi-Cultural Society building, to be located upon the site of the G.W. Jackson home. For more information, contact Charles Betts at (903) 654-4279.

American Cancer Society Relay for Life will be held from 2 to 10 p.m. at Mildred High School’s Asby Field.

May 22

The 10th Annual VOICE Spring Night Out will be held at 5:45 p.m. at The Cook Center. This event takes the place of the annual spring luncheon to celebrate the 10th year. Guests will be entertained by Suzie Humphreys and will selection of evening meal choices. Tables are $410 for 6 guests or individual tickets are $50.
