Corsicana — The Navarro County Farmers Market will open for the 27th year of serving Corsicana and Navarro County. Located at Sixth Ave. and Seventh St., on the East side of the Corsicana Daily Sun, the Farmers Market will be open Tuesdays and Saturdays from 7 a.m. until noon and will remain open through September.

May 19

The Hopewell Cemetery Association will hold its annual meeting at the cemetery at 11 a.m. The speaker and business meeting will be first, followed by a covered dish lunch afterwards. If inclement weather, we will meet at the Navarro City Hall. Doug Jordan of Nacogdoches, a descendent of the Harvards and Boyds will be the guest speaker. Attendance is encouraged and appreciated. May 20

Navarro Regional Hospital’s Senior Circle will host a physician lecture in the hospital classrooms from 12 to 1 p.m. Join Dr. Neal Green as he talks on “Beyond 50!” What happens to us after 50 years of age? Why do things have to change? How can we handle these changes? Lunch will be provided. Contact Connie Beal to reserve your spot at (903) 654-6892.

Emhouse Community Center will have its last meeting until September at 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

Corsicana Art league will meet at 6 p.m. at the Senior Activity Center in Corsicana.  Tina Bohlman will be the guest artist. Tina is the founder and chairman of the “Paint Historic Waxahachie” event held annually. For more info call: (903) 519-9082.

Senior Circle from Navarro Regional Hospital is going to South Fork Ranch. Motor coach will depart the hospital parking lot at 9:30 a.m. We will tour the ranch, eat a barbecue dinner at Miss Ellie’s kitchen, tour the museum and more!
