Sept. 19

The Corsicana Children's Co. class at the Warehouse Living Arts Center for Grades six through 12 begins 4:30 to 6 p.m. for an eight week session. “THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT!” Work on your improv skills, joke-telling and character building. And if this is all new to you that's okay, too. We will help you out with all you need to know about acting. No experience necessary! Class size is limited. Call (903) 872-5421 to register. Instructor is C. David Hill. The WLAC is located at 119 W Sixth Avenue in downtown Corsicana.

The Shakers and Scrapers Car Club will hold its monthly meeting at VG'z Event Pavillion (301 E. Third Ave.) at 6:30 p.m. Shakers and Scrapers is a very diverse group of folks with a common interest of cars and a desire to help local charities and events. We hold an annual car show during Derrick Days which helps to support a local charity.  If you are interested in seeing if we are a club that you might like to join, please come and attend our meeting.  For information call Tuck Edwards at (903) 641-0164.

Sept. 21

Corsicana Vendor’s Day will have a Corsicana-Navarro County Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting/grand opening at its inaugural show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 801 N. 13th Street (original KMart building) Pegasus Ballroom. This show will house 73 vendors, so make plans now to come out and shop.

Mustang and Mildred VFDs will hold a fundrasier at Lake Halbert from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be a car/bike show sponsored by Cars of Navarro County, a Ranch 106.9 Ice Cream “cookoff,” food, bands, water slides and other kid’s activities, as well as an auction with guns, deer stands, deer feeders and more.
