The Navarro County Republican Women will host a program called “Restoration or Renovation.” The facts concerning the upcoming bond election for the Navarro County Courthouse will be presented by Commissioners Dick Martin and James Olsen and County Auditor Kathy Hollomon at the Tuesday, Oct. 22 meeting of the Navarro County Republican Women. Social time and lunch begin at 11:30 a.m.  The meeting and program will begin promptly at 12 noon. We invite you to come to the Republican Headquarters, 111-B West Third Ave, on Oct. 22 to hear this timely and interesting presentation. The American Legion Post 22, 632 N. Beaton St., will host Karaoke Night with Country Sue from 8 p.m. to midnight. Come on out, sing  and have a wonderful time with your friends and family. The Corsicana Newcomer's Club will hold it's annual fundraising event at 6 p.m. at the Corsicana Country Club.  You don't have to be a Newcomer to enjoy this fun event as the community is invited to come to this year's Blue Jeans, Boots & Bids auction, dinner and dance featuring music by Byron Haynie. Many wonderful live and silent auction items will help you get an early start on your Christmas shopping! Proceeds raised from this event go to support local community non-profit organizations. VFW Post 3366 will have a dance on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013 in the ballroom side of the VFW Post 3366 off of W. Hwy 31. Randy Blue and The Full House Band will be the entertainment for the evening. They will play from 8 p.m. to 12 midnight. Come out and enjoy the country sounds of Randy and his band. There will be a $5 cover charge at the door.
