June 5

The Thalian Club will once again present the versatile Dave Tanner for its program. Tanner’s program will be “Songs from the Brill Building.”  Guests will hear songs they will remember and sang along to, and many may want to sing to again. Tanner will play through the meal as well as present his program. Members make your reservations early as Dave’s programs are all sell-outs. Please call (903) 874-5791 to make your reservations by June 3. Cancellations must also be made by June 3 at noon to the same number.

June 6

Red Cross Blood Drive will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church.

Blooming Grove Crime Watch will host District Judge James Lagomarsino at 7 p.m. at the Blooming Grove Volunteer Fire Dept.

Shakers & Scrapers Car Club will host their monthly cruise in at the H & R Block parking lot on Seventh Avenue starting at 6 p.m. Bring your hot rod, muscle car, sports car, motorcycle, project car or anything that rolls. Even if your not showing a vehicle, come by and take a look at all the cool vehicles. June 8

The Coyote Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force meets at 10:30 a.m. at the Tucker Hardgrave Memorial Hangar at the south end of C. David Campbell Field, the Corsicana Municipal Airport. There will be a staff meeting at 10 a.m. with the general meeting to follow. Prospective members and the public are invited to attend the general meeting.

Angels of Corsicana Troop Support will meet at 9 a.m. at 1020 North Business 45. All are welcome. If anyone has a loved one serving in harm’s way please bring their address to the packing so a gift box can be sent to them. They are asking for donations of one pound cans of coffee, sun screen, bug repellant and wipes. Please bring to the meeting and packing.
