Through Oct. 26

The 32nd Annual Piecemakers’ Quilt Show will take place at the Warehouse Living Arts Center, 119 W. Sixth Ave. Admission is free. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. A quilt will be raffled off as part of the annual show. Oct. 2

The Blooming Grove Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. in the museum at 201 S. Fordyce in Blooming Grove.  Guest speakers will be the Hollingsworth sisters — Odessa Smith, Bernice Prater and Mavis Lusk.  The will discuss their school years and happenings in Blooming Grove in the 1930's and 1940's.  All interested people are invited to attend.  For more information call (903) 695-2724 or (903) 673-2635.

Oak Valley Crime Watch will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Oak Valley Community Center. If you bring a friend your name will go in to a drawing for door prize. The Speaker will be Texas Game Warden Jimmy Woolley. Please join us for a wonderful meal and fellowship. Bring a covered dish and/or dessert.

The Sunbeam Club will celebrate autumn with food, fun and fellowship at the Ennis IHOP. The whistle will blow at 11:30 a.m. for retired and working railroaders and any family members. Anyone who loves a train is also welcomed to join in this fellowship.

Oct. 3

The American Legional Ladies Auxiliary meeting will be held at the Legion, 632 N. Beaton, at 7 p.m. The Auxiliary will meet the first Wednesday of each month at 7 p.m. For more information, call (903) 874-3938 after 4 p.m.

Frost Community Center's Covered Dish Lunch will be held at 11:30 a.m. the first Wednesday of each month.  Bring your favorite dish to share and enjoy the company of your neighbors in our community and surrounding areas.  All are welcome.
