Piecemaker’s 33rd Annual Quilt Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays at the Warehouse Living Arts Center. Over 100 quilts on display from area quilters. Classes will be held occasionally, and raffle tickets are available for purchase for a chance at a beautiful, handmade quilt. WLAC is located at 119 West. Sixth Ave., Corsicana. Oct. 8

Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1009 will meet at 7 p.m. at the Sirloin Stockade, 2508 West Seventh Ave, Corsicana. Membership is open to U.S. armed forces veterans who served on active duty (for other than training purposes) in the Republic of Vietnam between Feb. 28,1961 and May 7,1975, or in ANY duty location between Aug. 5, 1964 and May 7,1975. The veteran must submit a copy of his/her DD Form 214 along with the application and dues. Members and guest are invited to come early and eat and visit prior to the meeting. We welcome any Veteran as an associate member who served honorably who does not meet the above criteria.

The National Association of Active/Retired Federal Employees, NARFE, Chapter 1191, will hold its monthly meeting at the Ryan's Buffet restaurant in Waxahachie from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. For membership information in Corsicana call 903-874-3092.

United Way of Navarro County will participate in United We Dine from 5 p.m. to close at Wing Stop, 1500 W. Seventh Ave. During this time period 10 percent of all purchases will go to support the community through United Way of Navarro County.

Oct. 9

The Corsicana Emergency Corps., located at 416 South 12th Street in Corsicana, will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting at 7 p.m. The general public is invited to attend.  Monthly meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. For further information, please call (903) 872-5072.
