The Republican Party of Navarro County will hold its next meeting at 7 p.m. at Republican headquarters located at 111-B W. Third Ave. in downtown Corsicana. The Corsicana Preservation Foundation (CPF) will present information regarding the Nov. 5 bond election to finance the renovation of the Navarro County Courthouse. In addition, the proposed states constitutional amendments will be discussed. Please join us for a social from 6:30 to 7 p.m., saluting our elected officials. The Kinsloe House Past President’s Committee will present an informative program given by the new president of Navarro College, Dr Barbara Kavalier. Dr. Kavalier is a nationally recognized author and presenter in the field of higher education. She will give us insights into what is going on at Navarro College and where she sees the college going in the future. Navarro College has given many students, both in Navarro County, nationally, and from foreign countries, the opportunity to receive a college education.

United Way of Navarro County will participate in United We Dine at Bittersweet Boutique from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. On this day during this time period, 15 percent of all purchases will go to support the community through United Way of Navarro County. Bittersweet Boutique is located at 112 N. Beaton St.
Around the World in 80 Bites will be held in the Corsicana High School Commons from 5:30 to 7 p.m. All proceeds benefit the CHS Junior/Senior Prom. Tickets may be purchase from any CHS Junior, or you may contact Misty Fletes at email@example.com. Tickets are $5 per person.
