The Warehouse Living Arts Center Theatre will present its final production of the year, Irving Berlin’s “Annie Get Your Gun” as revised by Peter Stone, on Nov. 21, 22, 23 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 24 at 2 p.m. at the Palace Theatre located at 112 W. Sixth Avenue. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Warehouse Living Arts Center at 119 W. Sixth Avenue.
Richland Community Park will host a Sweet Shop fundraising event from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Russell Stover Candies in Corsicana. The store will donate 10 percent of purchases during the event hours to the park to help pay for a basketball court and other playground equipment.
The American Legion Post 22, 632 N. Beaton St., will host Karaoke Night with Country Sue from 8 p.m. to midnight. Second Annual Bikers for Bicycles to benefit The Salvation Army will be held today at the Pegasus Ballroom, 801 N. 13th (old KMart). Bikes will line up at 10:15 a.m. then leave for an hour ride and 10:30, with the Blue Knights doing the route and ride. Entry is $15 per rider or $20 per couple, or you can donate a bike. There will be food, music, prizes and more. Rain or shine. Puton on by the Christian Motorcyclists Association.
The Emhouse Community Center will hold its Thanksgiving Meeting and meal at 6 p.m. Everyone is invited. Bring a dish and come on!

Kinsloe House will host “A Dickens Christmas” at 6:30, 618 W. Third Ave. Join us in a celebratino as we begin the 2013 Christmas Season. American Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mildred High School, 5475 S. Highway 287 in Corsicana, Texas. Simply call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org to make an appointment or for more information. All blood types are needed to ensure a reliable supply for patients. A blood donor card or driver’s license or two other forms of identification are required at check-in.
Christmas is coming soon and members of the Piecemakers Quilt Guild will begin celebrating the season on Monday, Dec. 2 at Westhill Church of Christ. At 10 a.m. a short meeting to finalize the business of 2013 will begin. New business will include the installation of new officers, renewing memberships, and sign ups on committees. A tribute to Christmas musicals will be presented by Chris Green and Friends, son of Ken and Judy Green of Corsicana. After the entertainment, members will enjoy a catered lunch. All members are asked to bring canned goods for the Food Panty at the church. Our thanks go to Westhill Church of Christ for accommodating our meetings throughout the years. Member thanks also go out to our outgoing officers and committee members and we look forward to working with the incoming officers and committee members of 2014.

Oak Valley Crime watch welcomes you to attend our Christmas celebration at 6:30 p.m. We will have a potluck style dinner, games, and crime watch. The Corsicana Children's Company will present “Nutcracker” Dec. 4-6 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 7-8 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $8 for Adults, $7 for Teens and $6 for Kids 12 and younger. By adding splendid lyrics to a simplified version of Tchaikovsky's famous score, this unique version of The Nutcracker captures the magic and fantasy of the ballet story without the dancing . Come join in the fun as we see Nutcracker and his gang of helpers travel to the Land of Toys to rescue Princess Pirlipat from the wicked citizens of the Mouse Kingdom. Also check out our Nutcracker Tea on Dec. 7 from 12 to 2 p.m. The Tea includes Lunch, tickets to Saturday's show at 2:30, tour of the theater and a special take-home treat. Pictures with Nutcracker and Marie are available for $5. Tea Tickets are $20 for Adult, $15 for Teens and $10 for Kids 12 and younger. The Board of Directors of Kinsloe House invites members and guests to its annual Christmas Tea from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Kinsloe House. The House will be decorated for the holidays and there will be food, holiday music, and fun for all. This is one of Kinsloe House’s annual events. There will also be a Silent Auction with many beautiful and interesting items for all to bid on. Members, be sure and put this on your calendar. Come visit, feast on good food, and listen to Christmas music and be sure to shop at the silent auction for neat holiday items.
Blooming Grove Crime Watch will host speaker Ray Jacobs, retired NFL football player and probation officer, at 7 p.m. at the Blooming Grove HIstorical Museum in downtown Blooming Grove. Everyone is invited, everyone is welcome.
Thousands of holiday lights will illuminate historic Downtown Corsicana as the annual Downtown Open House & Lighting Celebration takes place from 5 to 6 p.m. The community is invited to join us at Pocket Park, 118 N. Beaton Street, for food, entertainment, and fireworks, as we light up the town. Many of our wonderful downtown businesses will remain open for your Christmas shopping pleasure. In addition, Santa will be there passing out treats to all the good little girls and boys, and the magnificent A Capella Choir from Corsicana High School will serenade us with some fabulous Christmas carols. Also from 3 to 5 p.m. that day, two 4x6 holiday photos with Santa will be offered from 3 to 5 p.m. in Pocket Park. The Navarro County Retired Teachers will meet Friday, Dec. 6 at Northwest Apartments Community Center, 1360 Northwest Ave. at 9:45 a.m. The program will be Christmas Music presented by Amy Knauth Cook and Patty Knauth, vice president of RTA.
Blooming Grove is having its Christmas parade and celebration beginning with the parade lineup at 10:30 a.m. The theme is an "Old Fashioned Western Christmas." The parade line up is at the high school parking lot. The parade goes through downtown starting at 11 a.m. Park activities will follow including food booths, pictures with Santa, a silent auction and bake sale, carolers and other entertainment, door prizes, and a Santa look alike contest. Angels of Corsicana Troop Support will meet at 10 a.m. at the American Legion, 624 N. Beaton, to help pack Christmas stockings for approximately 325 military personnel. There will be a free lunch provided by the American Legion Auxiliary immediately following the packing. All are welcome, including little ones. Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1009 will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013 at the Sirloin Stockade, 2508 W. Seventh Ave, Corsicana. Membership is open to U.S. armed forces veterans who served on active duty (for other than training purposes) in the Republic of Vietnam between Feb. 28,1961 and May 7,1975, or in ANY duty location between Aug. 5,1964 and May 7,1975. The veteran must submit a copy of his/her DD Form 214 along with the application and dues. Members and guest are invited to come early and eat and visit prior to the meeting. We welcome any Veteran as an associate member who served honorably who does not meet the above criteria.
