For the second straight night, the Navarro Bulldogs found themselves in a delay.
Navarro (47-9) was trailing Alvin 7-2 in the fifth inning of its semifinal game at press time. The game did not start until 11 p.m. Sunday due to other games going longer than expected.
Saturday, Navarro’s quarterfinal with Blinn was delayed three-hours due to rain.
Navarro took no time to dispose of Blinn once the game started, defeating the Buccaneers 10-0 in five innings in a game that started at 12:30 a.m.
Ross Hubbard hit his 13th home run of the season in the first inning, a two-run shot that jump started Navarro's offense. Hubbard went 2-2 with three RBIs.
