Pat McCrory, a NJCAA All-American at Navarro, will sign a contract to play in the Baltimore Orioles rookie league, according to the Kilgore News-Herald.
McCrory, who helped Embry-Riddle get to the NAIA World Series, will play in the Gulf Coast League.
McCrory had two tryouts, one with Houston and then with the Orioles, who decided to sign him.
McCrory played high school ball at Kilgore and after going to Navarro, he went with ex-Bulldogs coach Skip Johnson to Texas.
McCrory was used primarily at pitcher and shortstop at Texas and Embry-Riddle. He tried out for the Orioles as a pitcher.
