Tigers 11-U reach national semifinals

The Tigers 11-under baseball team is just one win away from the winner’s bracket final.

The Tigers shutout the Fort Smith (Ark.) Titans, 8-0 in the quarterfinals of the Super Series National Championships in Little Rock, Ark. Wednesday to advance to the semifinals.

The Tigers will play the winner of the Benton Cubs and NTX Tigers at 11 p.m., today.

The win over Fort Smith was the Tigers second win of the day after knocking off the Lonoke (Ark.) Gators 10-9 in the second round. They began the opening round of bracket play with a 13-1 victory over the Corsicana Beavers 13-1 Tuesday.

In the initial pool play Sunday - Monday, the Tigers defeated the Owasso (Okla.) Redwings 27-9, the Benton (Ark.) Cubs 8-1 and the Louisiana Muckdawgs 7-5.
