From Staff Reports

Navarro Regional Hospital Chief Executive Officer Xavier Villarreal, and Chief Nursing Officer Robbin Odom received Outstanding Achievement Awards recently from Community Health Systems, which owns the hospital and more than 120 other hospitals in 29 states.
The awards are given to hospital leaders who have demonstrated “an on-going commitment to quality healthcare and operational excellence,” according to a press release.
“This is a reflection of the dedication and focus of the hospital’s Board of Trustees, medical staff and devoted employees, “said Villarreal. I’m fortunate to be surrounded by people who are proud of this organization and are committed to providing the best care possible.”
In the last two years, the hospital has scored better on customer satisfaction ratings from patients, and from employees who said they would recommend the hospital as an employer. As well, the Emergency Department was recently certified as a Level IV Trauma Center, and the hospital has increased its community outreach through the Healthy Woman seminars and the Senior Circle.
Odom said she shared the honor of the award with the nursing staff.
“On a daily basis, they demonstrate attitudes and actions that exemplify the care that would make us proud if our own families were in the hospital,” she said. “This recognition simply wouldn’t be possible without the hard work of our talented staff.”
Navarro Regional Hospital is a 162 bed acute care hospital. It is accredited by the Joint Commission and has medical staff with specialists in the areas Orthopedic Surgery, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Pulmonology and Ear, Nose & Throat.
