City Council to consider dance hall ordinance, ambulance collections

— The Corsicana City Council will consider a new dance hall and social hall ordinance when it meets in regular session Tuesday, beginning with a work session at 4:30 p.m. and continuing with a regular city council meeting at 6 p.m.
The new ordinance would require permits for any special event spaces in the city that aren’t owned by the government, churches, fraternal organizations or veteran’s groups.
In addition, the council is expected to take up the ambulance collection contract, a request from Oncor for a rate increase, a request to define the dog-training lot across from the library, and a request to change the speed limit on McKnight Lane.
