Carroll resigns Human Resources post
Stephanie Carroll, Corsicana’s human resources coordinator and civil service director, has resigned, effective Nov. 14.
Carroll has been with the city seven years. She will be leaving to take a job with Luminant.
“It just happened out of the blue,” she said. “They wanted to know if I knew of anybody who might be interested.”
During the conversation, she found out it was for the Human Resources Coordinator for the Big Brown power plant in Fairfield. Carroll lives in Fairfield.
“I love my job here, I’ve enjoyed it so much and it was a very hard decision,” Carroll said. “But it was something I just couldn’t pass up.”
Carroll was appointed the civil service director in January.
In addition to the loss of Carroll, the city is currently working to fill the position left vacant by the retirement of former Police Chief G.M. Cox, and the recent resignation of tourism coordinator Wendy Huffman.
