Corsicana — Ninth Annual Angels of Corsicana Troop Support Christmas Packing

The Angels held its Annual Christmas Packing for the troops Saturday, Dec. 1 at United Christian Fellowship Hall, located across the street from Navarro College. Prof. Rita O’Brien and her Leo Club prepared the event for the Angels, led by Jean O’Connor and her band of volunteers from across the community.

Other organizations joined in to help, such as Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1009, led by their president Ron Wright and their chaplain Rodney Bancroft who did the “blessing of the boxes.” Other groups contributing help were Moms of Military and Navarro County Retired Teachers. The even profited 17 local military members along with their units, bringing the total to 300 Christmas Stockings filled with assorted items in 25 very large boxes.
