The Corsicana ISD Board of Trustees will consider selecting an architectural firm for the new middle school when the group meets in regular session at 6 p.m. Monday, 601 North 13th Street.
The middle school was rejected as part of a bond package which failed before the voters on May 11, however, the district is going to hire an architectural firm to draw up some preliminary plans anyway, said Susan Johnson, spokeswoman for the district.
The school district intends to bring the bond package back to voters in November, according to Superintendent Diane Frost.
Also on the agenda is to hear from Corsicana High School Principal Herbert O’Neill about changing the school’s schedule from a block schedule to a modified block schedule.
