Corsicana — Kinsloe House hosts program from Asia

The  Auditing Committee, headed by Jan Noblett, Seley Fuller, Ruth Scott, and Arlene Stewart will have their program at Kinsloe House on Jan. 23, 2013 at 12 noon.

Members who attend will go on a trip to the ancient kingdoms.  Sandra Curtis and Arliss Watson will bring travel highlights, collected souvenirs, and pictures from their exotic and colorful trip to Asia — Thailand, Laos, Viet Nam, and Cambodia.  This should be a wonderful presentation for all to see.

Navarro County Retired Teachers celebrated

holidays


The Navarro County Retired Teachers Association met at 9:45 a.m. Dec. 14, 2012 at Northwest Apartments Community Center. The program was Christmas music presented by a quartet comprised of Bernie Thompson, Larry Talbert, Peggy Smith and Lucy Waterman. The meeting was chaired by Patty Knauth.

Navarro County Retired Teachers Association met at 9:45 a.m. Nov. 9, 2012 at Northwest Apartments Community Center. The program was given by Jean O’Connor representing the Angels of Corsicana Troop Support group.



NARFE holds monthly meeting

On Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, NARFE, National Association of Active/Retired Federal Employees Chapter 1191, held its monthly meeting at Ryan's Buffet in Waxahachie. Members welcomed Mr. Gregory Wilhelm, who conducted an outstanding presentation on the legal aspects of life as a senior citizen. Membership is open to federal employees, retiree, and their spouses.
