The Sixth Annual Memorial Day Service at Woodland Memorial Park in the Gazebo will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 27, 2013. The theme is “Gone But Not Forgotten” and it is sponsored by Single Believers Ministries and the Woodland Cemetery Association. The keynote speaker is Col. Bill Downey (Air Force), grandson of the legendary first black veterinarian in Texas Dr. Will Coleman. The Navarro County Sheriff’s Department Color Guard will perform a 21-gun salute, and TAPS will be played by Les Grayson. Taylor Parks will sing “God Bless America,” and Pastor Leon Tate will emcee.
