Corsicana — Bethlehem Baptist Church, 409 N. Third St., Corsicana presents “The Sound of Freedom,” a service to celebrate Black History Month, at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 24. Evangelist Valorie Horn of Taylor Memorial COGIC is the guest speaker. Horn was born and raised in the small town of Corsicana, and spent her formative years at only two churches, Love Chapel Missionary Baptist Church (until the age of 11) and the family later moved its membership to the Taylor’s Memorial Church of God in Christ. Elder Horn is married to Minister Clarence Horn. They have been married 27 years and have a beautiful daughter, Brittany, and handsome son, Taylor. She has lived in Corsicana all her life. Her guiding verse is Philippians 3:14; “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” Horn realizes she can do all things through Christ who gives her strength. The Bethlehem family invites everyone to join their congregation in celebrating this month in Black History. Where there is unity, there is strength.
