— Bobbie Jean (McClure) GreenBobbie Jean (McClure) Green, age 78, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2008. Bobbie was born on Dec. 26, 1929 in Frost to Joe and Myrtle McClure. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, staunch Frost Polar Bear supporter and faithful member of Frost United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marim Roy Green; son, Ricky Lynn Green; and two brothers, J.W. and Joe Elton McClure.
Bobbie is survived by her son, Roy Green and wife Maria of Fayetteville, Texas; two grandchildren, Benjamin Roy Green of Atlanta, Ga. and Sally Jane Green of Abilene; sisters, Dorothy Garvin and husband Earl of Lancaster, Katie Walters and husband Ivan of Blooming Grove, Lillian Ann Thomas and husband Bill of Blooming Grove, and Callie Harris and husband Charles of Frost; and brother, Walter McClure and wife Pat of Frost.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Her funeral service will be Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at Frost United Methodist Church at 10 a.m. with burial to follow in the Frost Cemetery. Rev. Nancy Schusler and Leah Hidde-Gregory will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Marim and Bobbie Green Memorial Scholarship or to the United Methodist Church, Frost.
