James Floyd Bell
James Bell passed away April 28, 2008, in Temple. He was 61. Mr. Bell was born July 29, 1946, in Corsicana and attended Eureka schools. He graduated from Mildred High School. On April 19, 1996, he married Joyce Poteet and they lived in Corsicana and then in Mildred. He served in the United States Air Force in Vietnam from August 1964 to August 1968. He was a supervisor for Guardian Glass for 12 years, and worked as an assembler at Jeld-Wen Windows for 10 years. He was a member of Mildred Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Bell of Mildred; two sons, Steve Bell of Corsicana and Jim Bell of Austin; two daughters, Tina Fountain of Corsicana and Leecia Arnett of Corsicana; three stepdaughters, Lori Everett of Brock, Tammy Hoover of Mildred and Michelle Goben of Cannon Lake; one sister, Mary Stieg of Waco; his mother, Lucy C. Bell of Corsicana; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Floyd Reynolds Bell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10, at Providence Missionary Baptist Church, 7395 County Road SE3060, in the Mildred community. Friends may visit with the family following the service. ∞
