Faynell Hambrick

— Mrs. Faynell Hambrick, 83, of Corsicana passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2008, in Corsicana. She was born on Dec. 2, 1924, in Frost, Texas.
She was a member of Northside Baptist Church since 1958. She was employed by Fireside Gift Shop for many years. She was an active part of the Food for Fitness delivery, worked in the nursery and the care center of Northside Baptist Church. She served on the Bereavement Committee of Northside Baptist Church. She married Joe D. Hambrick on June 17, 1944.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Corley Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2008, at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Rick Lamb and Bro. Bill Honea officiating. Interment will follow in the Resthaven Memorial Park.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar H. and Annie Morris; brother, Curtis Morris; and sisters, Rudell and Wilton Morris.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joe D. Hambrick of Corsicana; daughter and son-in-law, Jonell and Chuck Kirk of San Antonio, TX,; grandson, Cameron Ralston of San Antonio; granddaughters and husbands, Gina and John Hahn of College Station and Kristen and Justin Pollei of Pflugerville, TX; sister, Hazel Traw of Sherman; brother, W.A. Morris of Alexandria, Louisiana; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Northside Baptist Church Building Fund at 2800 N. Beaton Street, Corsicana, Texas 75110.
