Charles E. Greene

Charles E. Greene, age 92, of Corsicana, died Saturday, June 13, 2009 at his home in Corsicana.

Visitation will be Monday, June 15th from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. A graveside service at Resthaven Memorial Park with military honors will be at 11:00 a.m., with Dave Alexander officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Ron Farmer, Jerry Cokerham, Bob Harper, George Schmidt, Larry Hodge, Greg Olson, Quinn Holden, Mark Mutina and David Garcia.

Charles was born near Marcelene, Missouri on November 9, 1916 to Hugh and Emma (Stanley) Green. Charles retired from Kirksville Osteopathic Hospital as property manager in May 1981. He served in the US.A. Air Corp during W.W. II. Charles and his wife Doris married June 9, 1959 and had been married for 50 years. They enjoyed many years of traveling. Charles was preceded in death by his parents and 5 brothers.

He is survived by his wife Doris Green of Corsicana and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army and Hospice and these may be left at or mailed to Griffin-Roughton Funeral home.
