Kenneth Alvin Berryhill





Kenneth Alvin Berryhill, 79, of Corsicana, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2009, in Corsicana. He was born Feb. 19, 1930, in Corsicana to Alvin and Alice Lorene Poole Berryhill. He was a member of Central Methodist Church, and had taught school in Corsicana, Ennis, Sunnyvale, Rice and Malakoff. He enjoyed playing the piano and organ. He was also an artist and had several pieces placed throughout town. He kept in touch with former students.

He is survived by nieces, Donna Burton and Cheryl Houser, both of Mesquite; great-niece and great-nephew, Daniel and Alicia Ponton of Mesquite; great-great-nephew, Riley Ponton; and cousins, Lester and Maxine Easley of Corsicana.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 19, at Oakwood Cemetery with Bill Honea officiating.
