Joan Mahoney

Joan Mahoney, 76, of Bedford passed away on Friday, June 19, 2009 in Fort Worth. She was born on Feb 1, 1933 in Barry.

Mrs. Mahoney was a member of the Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Mahoney and her parents, Buel and Ima Robison.

She is survived by her daughters, Dianne Byrd and husband Donald of Salinas, Cailf., Gail Bennett and husband Daniel of Watauga, and Donna Shelton and husband Randy of Stephenville; son, Steve Mahoney of Hurst; grandchildren, Robert Bennett and wife Deanna of Fort Worth, Travis Day and wife Heather of Fort Worth, Sarah Bennett of College Station, Keith Byrd and Jeff Byrd of Salinas, Calif., Jake Mahoney and Faith Mahoney of Hurst, Eric Shelton and Rachel Shelton of Stephenville, and great grandchildren; Johnny Bennett, Blake Day, and Payton Day of Fort Worth.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dan Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Robert Bennett, Travis Day, Keith Byrd, Jeff Byrd, Jeremy Cox, Josh House, Jason Shomper, and Justin Ripple.

Memorial contribution may be made to the Vitas Hospice of Fort Worth.
