Orval Browning

— Orval Browning passed away peacefully July 15, 2008, in Corsicana at the age of 87. He was born April 16, 1921, in Athens. He was preceded in death by his parents, Boliver and Annie Mae Browning. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Sally Phillips Browning; daughter, Jan Marie Browning of Dallas; son, Randall Browning of Rio Rancho, N.M.; and daughter Kelly Henager of Corsicana.
He will be greatly missed by the surviving members of his beloved Pi Phi Pi Fraternity. Mr. Browning was reared in Athens and was a graduate of North Texas State Teachers College in Denton. He was a first lieutenant in the Army Airways Communication during World War II. After attending the Arts Students League in New York City for three years, he returned to Dallas and was a partner in Browning Morhle Frances Advertising Agency.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
