Cresencia Huerta Ferrer

Cresencia Huerta Ferrer went to join her Heavenly Father on Friday, Aug. 15, 2008 at her residence in Barry.

After being with her family for a rich 94 years, she was a blessing and an inspiration to all those who came to know her and be with her.

Cresencia was preceded in death by husbands Jose Castro (20 yrs.), and Pascual “Shorty” Loredo Ferrer (32 yrs.); her children, Bernadina Castro, 9; Ramona Castro Venegas, 65; Juanita Castro Alvarado, 61; and Jose Gudalupe Castro, 18.

She will be deeply missed by those who survive her; daughters, Julia H. Granado of Dallas, Maricela (Victor) Rojas Sr. of Barry, and a son, Ricardo Mercedes (Rhonda) Ferrer of Barry. She was a very, very special mother to seven children and grandmother to 30 grandchildren, 84 great grandchildren, 90 great-great grandchildren, and one great-great-great grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home with Bro. Otis Conner officiating. Interment will follow at Pattison Cemetery in Emhouse.
