Doris T. Farmer

Doris T. Farmer, 71, of Purdon, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2008. She was born Feb. 19, 1937, in Emhouse to Henry Lee and Lois Monroe Teague.

She is survived by her husband, Keith Farmer of Purdon; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Sharon Farmer of Navarro and Eddie and Vickie Farmer of Navarro; daughters and son-in-law, Vickie and Leonard Holmes of Blooming Grove and Pam Avent of Dawson; sister, Jeannie Hutson of Idalou; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. R.E. Cecil officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Donny Capehart, Darrell Capehart, Richie Holloway, Bryan Jenkins, Matt Scoggins, Danny Purvis and Lee Farmer. Honorary pallbearers will be M.R. Bottoms, Charles McCarter and Sammy Marsh.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation Serving North Texas Inc., 5429 Lyndon B. Johnson Frwy., Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75240-2617.
