Ruth (Polly) Cottongame

Ruth (Polly) Cottongame, 75, of Dawson passed away Saturday, Oct. 4, 2008 in Corsicana.

She was born in Gatesville on May 24, 1933 to Otto Yates and Ruth Murray Yates.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at the Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Floyd Peterson officiating. Interment will follow at Dawson Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Clyde Cottongame Sr. of Dawson; sons, Clyde Cottongame Jr. and wife Joni of Dawson, Glenn Cottongame and wife Helene of Cleburne, and Richard Cottongame of Joshua; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; brothers, Ralph Yates of Waxahachie and Charles Yates of Quitman; sister, Myrtle WIllhart of Ennis.
