Earl Loyd Watkins

Earl Loyd Watkins, 82, of Corsicana passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009, in Corsicana. Mr. Watkins was born on June 13, 1927, in Corsicana to George Washington and Otie Clay (Howell) Watkins.

Mr. Watkins was an owner/operator of an appliance and furniture store.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at Corley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Steve Moss officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Ben Bernal, Bill Stoner, Carl White, George Green, Larry Morrison, and Randy Dill. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Marett and Howard Coley.

Mr. Watkins is survived by his children, Cynthia Watkins of Corsicana, Kip Watkins and wife Christine of Houston, and Susan Watkins of Austin.

Mr. Watkins was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and one brother.
