Linda Gaynelle McGee

Linda Gaynelle McGee passed away peacefully in her home in Corsicana at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2013.

Gaynelle was born in Corsicana on Feb. 12, 1952.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Hellen Mahoney Heffiner; and her father, Bufford Weaver both of Corsicana.

Survivors include her husband, Gregory Charles McGee, sharing 37 years of marriage together. Gaynelle is also survived by her children, Christy Vaughn, Ginger Hopkins, Lecia McGee, Sherri Mullin and her son Gregory Charles McGee II. She has loved and cherished her grandchildren, Raven Clark, Amber Clark, Starr Mesker, Kassidy Vaughn, Colton Tepoel, Taylor Fuqua, Abryan McGee, Austin McGee, Tristian Mullin and Christian Mullin.

Gaynelle is also survived by her son-in-law, Brian Hopkins, married to her daughter, Ginger Hopkins of Corsicana. Gaynelle has three brothers, John L Weaver, Kenneth Weaver and Marty Weaver, and also three sisters, Daryln Weaver, Jennifer Rose and Leah Jock, all of Corsicana, and she also leaves behind numerous neices, nephews and friends.

Gaynelle loved her family very much and has made an impact on us all. She was a licensed Social Worker and has helped very many people through out her life. She and her husband Greg McGee ministered here in Corsicana to many families through their outreach Ministry Christian Love Fellowship. She will always be loved and a part of us all. She is now resting peacefully with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 21, 2013, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2013, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home with Wes Haefs officiating. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery.
