Mrs. Emily A. Maggard, 74, of Emhouse passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013, in Emhouse
She was born on April 20, 1939, in Dallas, to parents, Frank John and Mary Ann Matula.
She was a member of the Emhouse United Methodist Church. She loved being outdoors, gardening, mowing the grass, and taken care of her family. She really enjoyed watching cooking shows, and a hot cup of coffee.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude “Buddy” Maggard; son, John Hoyt Isaacs; parents; brothers, Charles, Tom, and Frank Matula; and a sister, Doris Payne.
Survivors include her son, Bobby C. Isaacs of Rice; daughter, Doris Ann Rowe and husband Scott of Emhouse; grandsons, John Daniel Isaacs of Garland and Cody Scott Rowe of Emhouse; granddaughters, Hanna Nicole Davis and husband Jasper of Benton, Ark., and Chelsea Elizabeth Heaton of Emhouse; brother, James Matula and wife Gertrude of Dallas; sister, Katie Bouska and husband Charlie of Ennis; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013, at Corley Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 29, 2013, at Pattison Cemetery with the Rev. John Nader officiating.
