Corsicana — Harriet Brown Ray went to be with The Lord Monday, Feb. 10, 2014 at her residence. She was born Nov. 26, 1918 to Santford and Blanche Brown of Powell, Texas.

She was the baby in the family of seven siblings. A life span of 95 years was spent in Navarro County. Here she married W. F. “Pete” Ray and reared their three children. She became a nurse when her children were grown, continuing her need to care for others. Harriet was known by the family as a person who could "do it all." Her many talents included art, sewing, gardening and cooking. She had a way of making you feel special, loved and secure. Harriet was a good daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be greatly missed and remembered as a wonderful lady.

Mrs. Ray is survived by her sister, Esther Baker of Corsicana, son Michael of Woodbridge, CT., son Tommy of Powell, and daughter, Patricia of Corsicana, daughters in law Vicky and Francoise. Grandchildren: Philip and wife Lori of Ann Arbor, MI, Daniel and wife Hwi of Nogal, N.M., Catherine of Woodbridge, CT., Matthew of Corsicana, Kerri and husband James of Mansfield, TX., Kevin and wife Nancy of Jasper, TX.. Gena and late husband, Kalub of Powell, TX.. Step-grandchildren: Dene of Deer Park, TX., Cathy and husband Dan of Sugarland, TX., Tracy and wife Charlotte of Deer Park, TX., Leah and husband Wayne of La Porte, TX . Great grandchildren: Anahea, Evan, Ethan, Trenton and Pete. Step-great grandchildren: Zac and wife Meagan, Shane, Courtney, Loren and husband Charlie, Christie, Chris, Trent, Conner, Matthew, Cory and Kailen, Kenneth. Step- great great grandchildren: Mark, Dawson, Declan and Jaxson.

A private service will be held under the direction of Corley Funeral Home.
