Woodrow Wilson 'Woody' Dosser

— Woodrow Wilson “Woody” Dosser, 95, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2014 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel in Corsicana. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Griffin - Roughton Funeral Home.

Mr. Dosser was born in Drane, Texas on Dec. 13, 1918 to Santford Taylor and Ora Marshall Dosser. Woody was an avid softball and basketball player as well as track participant. After graduation from Bryan High School, he volunteered for the Army Air Corp and served as a Staff Sargent in the China Burma Theater in India where he provided support for aircrews who flew “over the Hump” in the Himalayan Mountains. After his return home, Woody married the love of his life, Ann Tilton Dosser, in 1946. He worked for Waddell-Connelly Auto Parts in Corsicana and retired in 1986 to gardening, farming, and supporting a wide circle of family and friends.

Woody was a longtime member of the Westminister Presbyterian Church serving as Deacon and Elder.

Woody was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ann Tilton Dosser, in 2000, and brothers Irvin and wife Iness, Tom and wife Catherine, Emmett and wife Margaret, Elton and wife Euda, and Santford Jr.

Woody leaves behind a loving family: son Ronald Dosser and wife Karmen, grandson Andrew Dosser, granddaughter Meredith Dosser, great-grandson Grayson Yarbrough, grandson Scott Lynch, granddaughter Shannon Williams, great -grandson Beau Burleson, and great-granddaughter Isabelle Williams; son Bill Dosser, grandson Patrick Dosser and wife Gina, great-grandsons Aiden and Blake, grandson John Dosser and wife Elizabeth, granddaughter Megan Dosser and grandson Will Dosser; daughter Debbie Jones and husband Stacy and many nieces and nephews.
