Donald H. Roush, 85, of Kerens passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, Oct. 28, 2013.
He was born in Kansas on Oct. 10, 1928.
Don grew up in Kansas, where he met his beautiful bride Theresa Schuetz. They married and moved to Texas to follow his career with the pipeline. Don retired from Mobil Oil in Corsicana after a long and fulfilling career.
He was preceded in death by the love of his life, wife of 59 years, Theresa and son Dennis Roush, his parents, sisters Mary Jo Mayer and Patricia Mayer.
He leaves behind a daughter, Marty Koch of Waxahachie and her fiancé Bill Dear; two grandsons, Jeff and Cory Roush; brothers, Marvin Roush and Loren Roush and sisters, Wanda Lindberg and Maxine Crawford and their families; numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews; extended family, Todd and Kristi Ritchie and children Kyndall, Kamdyn, Kallyn, Krayton and Kannon who will miss him dearly.
He was a generous and kind man who was known for his meticulous lawn and the love for his dog, Sophie.
A Rosary Mass will be at 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 1, 2013 with visitation to follow.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas. Burial will follow at St. Leo’s Catholic Cemetery.
