John Kormos, resident of Corsicana, passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, with his family at his side at the age of 51.
He was born Friday, Oct. 20, 1961, in Corsicana to Louis and Mary Frances Kormos.
John enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and also liked hunting for arrowheads. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his father, Louis Kormos; brother, Anthony Kormos; niece, Talia Kormos; and great-nephew, Kinsler Davis.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Kormos; sons, Michael Kormos, and Tony Kormos and wife Christina; daughter, Macayla Kormos; daughter, Courtney Covington; mother, Mary Frances Kormos; granddaughters, Rivers Kormos and Kinsley Kormos; brother, Joey Kormos and wife Cindy; sister, Stephanie Smith and husband Steve; mother-in-law, Bonnie Copeland; brothers-in-law, Virgil Copeland and Vernon Copeland; sister-in-law, Sheila Simington and husband Jay. He is also survived by nephews, Chad Davis, Chris Davis, Scott Kormos, Shae Smith, Shae Kormos, Sloan Kormos, Brandon Copeland; and nieces, Kalleigh Hinjosa, Krysty Underwood, Kelsy Simington, Brittany Copeland, Meagan Copeland, Tracie Nichols; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Visitation was held from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013, with Rosary at 7 p.m.
Service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Jason Cargo officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chad Davis, Virgil Copeland, Vernon Copeland, Steve Smith, Joe Palmeri, and Mark Gonzales.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Miller, Vic Miller, Bick Sherman and Donnie Palmeri.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1000 W. Second Ave., Corsicana, Texas 75110.
