Dean graduated from Blooming Grove High School in 1968, attended Navarro Jr. College then served his country in the U.S. Army. Dean enjoyed his family and was dedicated to his wife and sons, their wives and his two grandchildren. Granddaddy was special to Sean and Emma. He enjoyed playing cards and dominoes with his family. He was very competitive and loved it when his team won. But his true passion was deer hunting. Even though deer season was November through January he was always getting his deer lease ready for he and his brother, Jimmy. Dean was so proud of Debbie who was also dedicated to her career as administrative assistant to the Superintendent of Corsicana ISD. As well as his sons, Chris who served his country in the U.S. Air Force and Kevin a police officer. His zest for life is evidenced by the family he influenced and leaves behind.
