Jimie Earl Powell, 76, of Roberts, Idaho, passed away on July 19, 2013, at his home after a lingering illness. He was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.
Jimie was born June 29, 1937, in Hubbard, Texas, to Earl Powell and Buni Mae Pullin Powell. He attended school in Hubbard, and also attended Idaho State University. Jimie worked as a Machinist for Bucyrus Erie in Pocatello.
On Feb. 12, 1984, he married Kathleen Lydia Olson. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two half-brothers, and one sister.
Survivors include his loving spouse of 29 years, Kathleen; step-daughter, Stacy (John) Curran of Idaho Falls, Idaho; step-daughter, Monica Rhoades of Chubbuck, Idaho; daughter, Robin (Dave) Barrett of Unionville, Conn.; son, James Powell of Pocatello, Idaho; son, Nathan (Colleen) Powell of Boise, Idaho; son, Trevis (Kim) Powell of Pocatello, Idaho; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Graveside services will take place in Blooming Grove, Texas, at a later date. Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Blooming Grove.
