Mrs. Eula Mae Haynie, 88, of Frisco, formerly of Corsicana, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2013, with family and friends by her side at the Lodge on Preston Ridge Assisted Living Center in Frisco.
She was born May 30, 1924, to Ewell and Mae Goswick in Barry.
She married Louis Haynie on June 25, 1945. She worked in the trust department at First National Bank for many years and later worked as a private bookkeeper. She was a member of Westhill Church of Christ.
Eula Mae became an avid Dallas Mavericks fan and was able to attend the 2011 NBA Finals in Dallas, the year they won with her granddaughter, Jill. It was a highlight for her. Her wisdom and quick wit will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Louis “Doc” Haynie; and her sons, Donnie and Milton Haynie; her parents, Ewell and Mae Goswick; and her sister, Nila Jean Sinclair.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Danny Neal of Frisco; grandchildren, Carly Neal, Jill Cain, Drew and Jennifer Cain, Shane, Katelyn and Kylee Haynie, Paige Haynie; and her step-grandsons, Daniel, Jon, and Nick Neal. She is also survived by her sisters, Wynelle Garrison of Kaufman and Ellene French of Corsicana; many nieces and nephews, and special friend, Sharon Coker, and extended family, Franklin and Nelda Neal.
Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 26, 2013, at Corley Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 27, 2013, at Corley Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Sam Dilbeck officiating.
