Maxine Ledesma, 91, of Corsicana was called home to our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013 at Twilight Nursing Home. She was born March 29, 1922 in Rice to Conrado and Lena Borrego.
She retired from Adams Hat Factory after 30 years of employment. Maxine was a loving, caring mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Adan Ledesma; sister, Gabriella Sauceda; niece Consuelo Sauceda; and two grandsons; Danny Herrera and Ray Ortega.
She is survived by her daughters, Frances Herrera and son–in–law, Joe; Evelina Espinosa and Robert Sardina; her grandchildren; Charles Herrera, John Herrera, Lola Boatright, Mary Herrera, Lydia Greer, Andrea Herrera, Billy Bland and wife, Rebecca and Teresa Knott and husband, Mark; 21 great-grandchildren, 28 great-great-grandchildren and two great-great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and loved ones.
Visitation with the family will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday , Dec. 12, 2013 at Corley Funeral Home in Corsicana.
Rosary will be at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013.
The Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Jason Cargo officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Corsicana. Pallbearers will be Charles Herrera, John Herrera, Billy Bland, Adam Herrera, David Crispin, Vinncent Greer, Marc Knott and Michael Ortega. Honorary pallbearers will be Nicholas Bland, Nathaniel Bland, Chevy Hanna, Danny Hanna III, Dennis Boatright, Daniel Herrera and Danny Herrera, Jr.
The family wishes to give a “special thank you” to Nona Shirley and Vera McMurray with Mercy Hospice and all of the nurses and staff at Twilight Nursing Home for the care and love that they showed Maxine.
