William Elton Albritton, 77, passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014.
He was born Jan. 3, 1937, in Trinidad, Texas, and grew up in Corsicana.
Bill enlisted in the United States Air Force at the young age of 17. He served for four years where he earned the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. While in the Air Force he was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. After his Honorable Discharge, he started his long, successful career in sales. Over the next 32 years he earned numerous performance and recognition awards.
Bill will be remembered for his compelling character and unique sense of humor. At family gatherings and social events he was known for shaking things up, both on and off the dance floor. Bill will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Bill is preceded in death by his loving wife of 47 years, Lillian Louise Albritton; his parents, William Earnest and Muriel Albritton; and his favorite aunt, Lois Tyner.
He is survived by his caring daughter Karen Jansing and husband John; grandson, Marc Jansing and wife Morgan; granddaughter, Juli Freiburger and husband Nick; his brother, Glen Albritton and wife Helen; nephew, William Edward Albritton and wife Dianne; and his niece, Glenda Sue Mershawn and husband Michael. He also leaves behind numerous cousins.
May St. Peter happily welcome him through the pearly gates.
Memorial Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Beck Funeral Home in Round Rock, 15709 Ranch Road 620, Austin.
