Melba Lovene Lynch Bryant, 88, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013, in her home surrounded by her family. Lovene was born March 3, 1925, to Charlie Parham Lynch and Mamie Lee Hix Lynch.
Lovene married the love of her life, Boyd C. Bryant, on June 9, 1946. She was a loving wife, devoted to her family. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, Blooming Grove, where she taught Sunday School for over 40 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, C.P. and Mamie Lynch; brothers, Cecil, Melvin and William Lynch.
Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Boyd C. Bryant; sisters, Marie Beene of San Angelo and Billie Joyce Rawson of California; daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Kenneth Weaver of Corsicana; son, Dennis Bryant of Corsicana; son and daughter-in-law, Marc and Debby Bryant of Corsicana; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Thom Lachman of Toronto, ON, Canada; grandchildren, Bryan and Christy Weaver, Brandi and Steven Spicer, Matthew and Beth Bryant, all of Corsicana; Becky and Bryan Sulton of Dallas; Christian Lachman and Gabrielle Lachman of Toronto, ON, Canada; great-grandchildren, Colby, Cole and Coy Spicer, Briana and Garrett Weaver, Luke Bryant, all of Corsicana, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2013, at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Corsicana.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2013, at First Baptist Church in Blooming Grove. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
