Proud Texas Lady, Judy Kay Morgan, former wife of Robert W. Morgan and mother of two sons, Chris Morgan of Virginia, and Todd Morgan of Longview; grandmother of five great kids, Savannah, Jessica, Robert, Matthew and Jacob; great-grandmother of two, Ava and Grant; passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2013, after years of battling quadriplegia and infections.
She was a modern-day Renaissance woman who had accomplished many things in her years. Her proudest moments were of her Australian Shepherd training kennels in Reagor Springs, where she lived. She traveled all over the country entering Stock Dog Trials as well as Obedience trials, making friends and memories where ever she went. And, she was a top Cutting Horse champion with her horse Lena's Magnolia Fox; she had risen to #3 in the Nation in the $20,000 Non Pro class, which ended when an auto accident left her with a spinal cord injury.
Judy was a pioneer in Texas, for women in the Private Investigation industry, she was a well-respected member of TALI, Texas Association of Licensed Investigators, where she was proud to be a full member and licensed Investigator, and her credentials were held dear to her up until her end. Judy's son Chris had a statement, “Mom was the Quintessential Texas Woman, she was Strong and Proud, and loved people, and she never met a stranger.” She will be well missed, but she has gone home to be an Angel, where all are in the Grace of God. Love You Mom.
