Sam I. Shelton

Corsicana —

Sammy Illiff Shelton, 70, of Malakoff passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and children late in the evening on Friday, July 26, 2013 at Cedar Lake Nursing Home, where he has been cared for and loved for the last three years. On Oct. 31, 1977 he married Barbara N. Henderson, the love of his life, and they have shared their hearts for almost 36 years.

He is preceded in death by his father and his brother, Royce W Shelton.

Survivors include his dedicated wife, Barbara N Shelton; daughter Tish and husband Eddie Barnes of Chandler; daughter Tanya and husband James MacKenzie of Okinawa, Japan; adopted son Charles Jason Franklin and wife Mary Ann of Corsicana; sister, Thesea Ann and husband Glen White of Tool; grandson, Justin T.
