— Mrs. Juanita “Ma” Brewer, 86, of Corsicana passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013 at Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana.

She was born Aug. 7, 1926 in Idabelle, Okla., and lived in California and Texas.

She married J M “Bo” Brewer on Aug. 15, 1942, and they have celebrated 70 years of marriage. Together they are members of Emmanuel Baptist Church. They owned and operated Brewer’s Gulf Station at the corner of Seventh and 24th for over 20 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ira Dotson Derrick; mother, Mamie Myers; step-father, Emmanuel “Foots” Myers; two brothers and a sister.

She is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, J M “Bo” Brewer; sons, Roger Dale Brewer and wife Catherine of Grand Prairie and Ronnie Eugene Brewer and wife Alpha of Corsicana; daughter, Regina Mae Brewer-Garner and husband Marco Vargas of Grand Prairie; grandchildren, Debra Lynn Jones of Florida, Ronnie Eugene Brewer, II of Fairfield, Renee’ La Joyce Isom of Waco, Christopher Michael Garner of Grand Prairie, Rebecca Diane Brewer of Pennsylvania, and Sgt. Scott Dale Brewer of Wisconsin; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Bog “Figel” Myers of California; sister, Geneva “Toots” Calley of Pasadena, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation with the family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at Corley Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery with the Rev. J.T. Burk officiating.  Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Eugene Brewer, II, Christopher Michael Garner, Sgt. Scott Dale Brewer, and Ronnie Eugene Brewer, III.
